Laura Caird, Psychologist
Laura Caird is a Registered Psychologist specializing in Clinical, Counselling, and School Psychology. With extensive experience in school board and private practice settings, Laura provides psychological assessment and consultation services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Laura earned her master’s degree in Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Science from York University, where she conducted and published research in the field of memory and learning. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong aptitude for assessing cognitive, emotional, and behavioural factors in individuals across a wide range of backgrounds. Her approach emphasizes integrating data from multiple sources to deliver clear, practical recommendations that support personal growth and success.
Laura's clinical work spans a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. She also brings expertise in trauma-related occupational stress and conducts pre-employment psychological evaluations for police and special-constable candidates, assessing psychological readiness and resilience for high-pressure roles.
Laura’s background as an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) further enhances her ability to address educational and developmental challenges. This unique perspective enables her to effectively support individuals navigating complex, performance-driven environments.
