Miranda McCormack, Social Worker
Miranda is a dedicated Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University and a Master of Education from the University of Calgary. She has extensive experience supporting individuals through their most vulnerable and difficult moments.
Miranda utilizes a customized, individualized approach to build strong rapport and recognize each client’s unique needs. Working from a trauma-informed lens, she integrates evidence-based modalities to help clients build coping strategies and life skills to manage challenges and thrive in their everyday lives.

Miranda works with clients ages 16+ and has a particular passion for supporting individuals navigating complex mental health concerns, trauma, PTSD, and challenges related to LGBTQ+ identity. She has achieved Provider Status in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment approach that supports individuals in processing traumatic experiences and reducing symptoms associated with PTSD, whether formally diagnosed or not.
Miranda’s experience is rooted in her passion for supporting vulnerable communities, including individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, those experiencing housing insecurity, survivors of human trafficking, and individuals impacted by complex trauma. She has also managed a residential treatment and healing program for survivors of human trafficking and is highly skilled in supporting trauma, dissociation, and other complex mental health concerns.
Miranda approaches all clients with openness, dignity, and respect, grounded in the belief that everyone is the expert of their own life. She is committed to ongoing professional growth and staying current with best practices, which includes teaching and training new professionals in the college setting.
