Well Mind, Strong Body

Postpartum Group Therapy & Movement Series

Supporting You Through Postpartum

Well Mind, Strong Body is an 8-week postpartum group therapy and movement series offered in collaboration by Laura Caird, Registered Psychologist and Jeenie Brasseur, Certified Pre & Postnatal Trainer and owner of KeepFit HQ.

The postpartum period can bring significant changes to your emotional well-being, relationships, body, routines, and sense of self. These adjustments can be challenging whether you're welcoming your first baby or adding another child to your family.

This small-group program provides a supportive space to explore the realities of postpartum life, learn practical psychological strategies, connect with other mothers, and make time for both your mental and physical well-being.

Support for Your Mind

Postpartum Group Therapy

The psychological component of Well Mind, Strong Body is developed and facilitated by Laura Caird, Registered Psychologist & Perinatal Mental Health Therapist.

Each week combines evidence-informed psychological education, guided therapeutic discussion, practical strategies, and connection with other mothers navigating the postpartum period.

Together, we'll explore some of the experiences that can make postpartum life challenging, from changes in identity and relationships to anxiety, overwhelm, expectations, guilt, sleep, and finding space for your own needs.

The focus isn't on doing motherhood "better." It's about understanding what's happening for you, developing practical ways to support your emotional well-being, and having a space to talk openly with other mothers who may be navigating many of the same things.

The group is intentionally kept small to allow for meaningful discussion, connection, and individualized participation.

Strength for Your Body

Complimentary Postpartum Movement

Following each therapy group, participants are invited to stay for a complimentary postpartum movement class led by Jeenie Brasseur, Certified Pre & Postnatal Trainer and owner of KeepFit HQ.

The class runs about 30 minutes and is built specifically for the postpartum body, with a focus on rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength, and feeling capable in your body again. Every movement can be modified, so it works whether you're a few months postpartum or nearly a year, and whether or not you've trained before. All equipment is provided.

Babies are welcome in the room and can be tended to at any point.

The movement class is offered at no additional cost to participants enrolled in the postpartum therapy group. Participation is optional and does not change the fee for psychological services.

No KeepFit HQ membership is required to participate.

Is This Group for Me?

Well Mind, Strong Body is for mothers navigating the postpartum period, whether this is your first baby or you've been through the postpartum period before.

You do not need to have a mental health diagnosis or be experiencing a significant mental health concern to participate. Postpartum adjustment looks different for everyone, and challenges can arise after any pregnancy, not only the first.

The group is intended for mothers who would benefit from a supportive space to reflect, connect, learn practical strategies, and prioritize their own emotional well-being during a stage of life when their own needs can easily take a back seat.
